Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly dedicated and motivated accountant, with an accounting qualification (degree, CA, or CPA) or commensurate training and experience of at least 3 years in a dynamic commercial environment, to join a successful Group, and become part of the Pearling Production Team working in a flexible environment with a very supportive culture.
Based at our head office in Darwin CBD NT and reporting to the Business Unit General Manager with a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer, the position will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks including the effective management of accounting functions and Business Unit financial systems, EOY financial (including liaison with auditors) and management reports, invoicing, maintaining the Pearling asset register, budgets and rolling forecasts, EOY tax work papers, EOY R&D calculations, GL account reconciliations, and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required, whilst continuously improving and streamlining accounting processes and procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will need to be fantastically organised, able to multi-task, work autonomously and in a dynamic team, prioritise work, take initiative, demonstrate flexibility and work under pressure adhering to deadlines.
Essentially the successful candidate will also need to demonstrate a superior knowledge and ability of working with Microsoft Office products and applications, internal database systems and experience with large accounting software programs. Experience with using Microsoft Dynamics AX would be considered advantageous.
